Rainwater Harvesting

With the rising cost of metered mains water, it makes economic sense to use the free supply of rainwater for those tasks that do not require chlorinated mains water.

We design and install rainwater harvesting systems for private houses or commercial buildings so that water bills can be greatly reduced.

Up to 50% of the water used in a typical domestic house can be replaced with rainwater.  In commercial properties, the potential for rainwater harvesting is even  greater due to the larger number of people flushing the toilets and the greater roof catchment area available.

The savings in mains water charges can mean that a rainwater harvesting system pays for itself in as little as 2 or 3 years.  In addition, businesses can now claim 100% capital allowance on the purchase of rainwater harvesting equipment.

Rain water can be used for:

  1. Flushing toilets
  2. Washing machines
  3. Livestock
  4. Washing vehicles
  5. Washing down concrete or paved areas
  6. Garden use
  7. Horticultural uses including greenhouses

Rainwater harvesting not only makes financial sense but also contributes to a more sustainable and less energy dependant way of life.
